Toddlers Can Read Mother’s Day Sale

If you've been wanting to buy the Toddlers can Read course or flashcards from Spencer Russell's site, now is the time!

Toddlers Can Read is having a Mother's Day sale where all products are 20% off from Friday May 9th to Monday May 12th.

I bought the Toddlers Can Read course back in January 2024. I had seen some videos trending online by teachers saying that kids in their classroom didn't know how to read. There was a lot of talk about the literacy crisis in the United States.

Up until that point, I thought that kids just learn to read naturally. While that may be true for some children, that was not the case for my son. So I wanted to be more intentional so that he would be ready to read by kindergarten.

What I didn't expect is that my son would not only be able to read basic CVC words (such as "bat" and cat") but he has become a fluent reader. He can even read & comprehend books intended for adults. For example, he can read through a cookbook or book about gardening. While the Toddlers Can Read course doesn't focus on comprehension, it does teach learning the letter sounds, blending, & basic reading. All the skills your child needs to get started.

As I've followed Spencer over the past 1.5 years, I've come across some common concerns from parents –

"Your course is too expensive."

Here was my reply to that viewer from a parent's perspective -

I thought the course was expensive too. I decided to buy it anyway (I had the money available to do so) and my son learned to read before kindergarten. To me, it was worth the investment. As a former teacher myself, I know if a kid doesn't learn to read early (like 5 or 6), it gets harder to teach them later on. And reading tutors cost more. If the course is not in your budget, his free videos are super helpful too, but just know it will take a lot more time to watch everything & piece together info.

"The shipping costs are too high!"

Toddlers Can Read is based in the USA. If you are outside the US, then shipping will most likely be expensive for you. In that case, I recommend his printable products.

My best recommendations in terms of the printables are the Decodable Books set 1  and his printable ABC flashcards. We have both the truck set & the fairy tale set of flashcards. I got one theme for each of my kids to get them excited about learning to read!
