I Quit Using Social Media for Business
Here’s what I learned after one year
I realize I have a pattern of talking about “quitting things” on this blog. You know why? Because I don’t have any issue quitting something that isn’t serving me. I prioritize my health and family first even if that means I have to let something go.
This morning I was going through old photos to free up storage. I could not believe how many photos & screenshots there were related to Instagram & Facebook! Content ideas, screenshots of facebook group posts, pending group member requests, the same picture taken 10 times for the right shot. Like what?! How much time did I spend on these platforms all these years, for the sake of "growing my business"?
If Facebook & Instagram marketing work for you, that's amazing. I have just learned for myself, that the daily grind of posting and constantly showing up was NOT worth it, even if it did make some money along the way.
Now my business is fairly passive, in the sense that I work when I feel like it, and the money comes in gradually, many times on a daily basis. I've made five figures in revenue this year, and my business is more profitable than ever before. All the while, if you look at my Youtube channel, it appears to be "dying". I can assure you that views ≠ money in the bank! 😆
I'm excited to bring back one of my mini-courses with a new name - Get Paid To Share. In this mini-course, I break down my process for making money by sharing affiliate links on my blog and YouTube channel, so you can do the same!
Normally this would be the moment I offer up a discount. But this time, I'm holding my price at $39 USD, because I actually feel confident in what I have to share with you! And after taking the course, if you feel like there's something "missing", like you need another template, tutorial, or more details to get started, just let me know. I'm always looking for ways to improve my courses & make them more value-packed.
